Chef Wes Stepp has more than 30 years of culinary experience and is renowned on the Outer Banks as the owner of two Duck, NC, restaurants, Red Sky Cafe and NC Coast Grill & Bar, and as the owner of Outer Banks Chefs On Call personal chef services and catering. Chef Stepp is also well-known throughout Virginia and North Carolina as the originator of Tastefully Fit, in which he creates recipes and a TV segment that reflect his commitment to healthful eating and fitness. His cuisine reflects his Tastefully Fit principles and his skill and experience with Outer Banks seafood.
Originally from West Virginia, Chef Stepp came to the Outer Banks after attending college at Marshall University. He worked at Kelly’s Restaurant in Nags Head for a number of years before purchasing Red Sky Cafe. His catering business, which serves the entire Outer Banks, is a thriving operation, as is Chefs on Call, a service that brings a chef to your home or vacation rental to plan, cook and cleanup meals.
His newest Duck, NC, restaurant, NC Coast Grill & Bar, is a casual and modern waterfront grill with a commitment to serving unpretentious, cutting-edge food, craft beers and creative cocktails.
